I'm a policeofficer I'm Danish K9. I'm unfurnate in that disastruos situation, that i have got my dog suspended for line of duty. The things he can
1 : Search for clue's on a crimscene (blood, knifes, amunition, sperms, hair, burialed things and a lot more)
2 : follow a track of a person in up to 12 hours
3 : Search for people.
4 : search for bigger things in a big area (clotes, guns, bicycle's).
5 : He can divide a crowd a bunch of fightning people
6 : protect the handler
7 : Attack on command
8 : the dressur/training by fot is very good (perfect)
I'm bringing him with me in to US in the beginning of afpril month to sell him. The dog simply to good and would be shameless not letting him working.
I know this dog is worth a lot money. I have spend about 1000 - 1300 hour's mostly training at my job and ofcourse at real crimenal acts. If i find the right handler the price will go down a lot.
My regards Kaare L Madsen.

I have always been impressed by police and security dogs. The canine police officers in the tribute stories should be remembered as proud and loyal members of their respective police departments.

Regarding Diana Hughes comment,, We wish we could just go and get a dog from the pound. However the dogs that we need usually exhibit drives and behaviors that make them fail the temperament test at the shelters. We have found one dog that had the unique drives that are needed to be a working police dog and he is currently working for the Stockton Police Department. When looking for a new K9 partner the handler may look and test numerous dogs before finding one that they feel will be able to pass the training both physically and mentally. Even after those dogs are selected they often wash out of training.
I wish it was as easy as just going and getting a new dog though.

Many many thanks to the department and to Deputy Le Couve with K-9 Dantes for your work in helping to defeat AB1634, the Pet Extinction Act. This bill would be the end of working K-9s and their inestimable benefit to law enforcement and the lives of their handlers. Your comportment, appearance and demeanor during the Capitol appearance today reflect your high level of training and commitment and the justifiable pride you take in your service.
Great job, deputy LeCouve and Dantes!
The K9 team is in a class of its own! I think the relationship and dedication between an officer and their K-9 partner is wonderful, but I would like to know why they are imported with a price tag of $5500, when our animal shelters are full of dogs needing a home. Some that are very loving and capable of being trained?

It was good to see the K9 crew at the Capitol Airshow today and met Officer Amos and others in the area. Amos says that I am wearing a nice shirt today. I want to express that message about my shirt. And it did send the message to places I go in Nevada and Oregon for the past few months ago. I get greetings with car horns and a friendly thumbs up just because they care about the K9 dogs who does thier job on the line of duty. So I do feel good to carry the message to anyone who sees my shirt I am wearing. Keep up the great work on this website with all the support is growing day by day.

Do you sell the K-9 trial T-shirts on-line...I got one as a gift...I've been asked by many where I got it...you should sell them on your web site...they are very special...thanx p.b.
I am a Public Safety Officer for the Airport Authority in Lansing Michigan. I will be attending K9 school for my 2nd partner in August for explosives detection. I am really looking forward to this assignment, as it has been 8 years since my first go around ended in 1998 with my narcotics dectection Golden Retriever Lucy. I was Lucy's 2nd handler and she served faithfully for 8 years in total between 2 Departments. She gave her all and passed in May of 2000.
I am very excited about my new assignment and can't wait to get going. I have been surfing around looking for some nice K9 T-shirts. I am wondering if you have any SSDK9 shirts available in XXL? If so, what is the cost with shipping to 48911?
I tried emailing you, but it was returned, because the mailbox is full.
Thanks for any information,

I saw the article in today's Sac bee, about the suspect who hit your dog over the head with a shovel. He should be locked up and throw away the key! Anyone who would treat a dog that way would do the same to a human. That's just terrible, how could someone do such a thing? This is worse than animal cruelty. God bless you for the work you do, and for your faithful K-9's.
