Well I'm so impressed I had to send this site address to my father. My father is a retired San Diego Sheriff's Deputy who was one of the first K-9 handlers to that department in the 70's. I'm sure it will bring back many happy memories he shared with our wonderful K-9 "King." He was one awesome and loveable dog. When he was 'on duty' he knew it. When he was off, he was a totally different dog. I miss him.

I was one of Folsom PD's first K-9 handlers, my partners name was Kody. After he was retired, I promoted to Sgt and at the time you could not be a Sgt and a handler (I'm not sure the promotion was worth it). I am now retired and trading patches locally and internationally. I have recently had several requests for SSD canine patches. I know in the past you did not have a seperate patch for K-9, has that changed? If there are K-9 patches available please let me know. Great web-site, you should be proud.

Love the website. I have a question about the retired k-9s. What happens to the k-9s once they retire? Do the the handlers keep them or is there so organization for retired k-9s?
What a great website. I am a retired deputy sheriff from Solano S.O. and am very impressed with your K-9 program. I will be making donations by buying from your online store. Keep up the great work!

Hello to all the officers and their K9 friends, I work for a veterinary in Granton, Wisconsin as a housekeeper and take a lot pride of doing the job, so it is done well.I especially take pride to know that when they bring the local police dogs in for routine yearly check-ups, they will have a place that is safe and kept clean. It's like when you are doing your job...making safety number one for all around. My job is to make sure your honored K9 friends are welcomed and safe in good hands in every way possible!I make darn sure of that too!I want to thank all of the officers and all of their honored K9 partners for going out to keep us all safe.God please keep them safe and out of harms way. Also! For those who have past on to heaven, always know they will always be remembered for their courage.

Just wanted to stop in and say hello! As a neighbor of Sergeant Mike Butler, our family has the pleasure of seeing both Mike and Kobi on a daily basis. What a great and well behaved dog!(I'm referring to Kobi!) In fact if it weren't for the signs on the gate, one would never know that a dog lived at their home. Kudos to the training methods. Our young Pekinese (Chloe) could stand a lesson or two herself! Our family feels safer knowing that Mike and Kobi are watching out for our safety as well as the saftey of the citizens of Scramento County!

I did not know Joe, but know of his reputation of being a great cop. All I hear is good things about him. Kevin, Eric and I went to the academy together (96-SBRA-1) and worked together. Eric and I were inseperable in the academy (he was 19 and I was 26...wow....such a long time ago). Kevin had the greatest parties at his house and he would always be the first to take a dare (hahahah). I will truly miss his smile. Eric will pull through, I know it. To the families: I am very sorry for your loss and pray for you daily; for your comfort and peace. Eric, I have the honor of seeing you now, but I will talk with you soon! I thank all three of you for doing your job that day.
