I would just like to say my prayers are going out to the families of our officers. My husband was good friends with Joe as a child in scouts, and I feel like I knew Joe from the stories my husband Bill Nichols and his father shared with me. I can't image the hurt that you feel, but just know feel the lose also.
I am glad my husband had the chance to share some of his life and memories with Joe.

I was outside when the law enforcement team was performing the Fly-over. It was a moving experience and a beautiful way to remind us to pray for the family and friends and for all law enforcement officials who put their lives on the line so we can live in peace. With sincere gratitude. . .thank you.

God help each of the co-workers of these fallen officers - you will go on, but you'll never forget. For the families - my heart aches for each of you - you'll be meeting other survivors who have lost officers, and they will help you through your grief. There is no easy way through this - but you too will survive and go on. Your loved ones will NEVER be forgotten.

Last week we were visiting Sacramento when we saw the terrible news of the helicopter crash, and today we are again visiting Sacramento and watching the memorial services on television. For the families of the deputies and the members of the Sheriff's department we are praying for you in this time of sadness. We are proud of the men and women who are dedicated to protecting all of us.

As the wife of a peace officer, I would like to send my prayers to the families and co-workers of Kevin and Joe and pay tribute to all they have done for our community. God Bless

It's a day like today while watching the memorial service for Kevin and Joe, that I am reminded how lucky we all are to have such increditable people that are always watching out for us. My respect for all law enforsement officers goes beyond words. God bless Kevin, Joe and their families.

I went to the same high school as Joe Kievernagle at Jesuit High School during 1984 and '85. I am truly sorry to hear another one of my classmates has died. I offer my deep condolence to you and pray that you find peace knowing he is in heaven. In my heart, I will always remember the young boy who shared some experiences at Jesuit. I miss him too. I express my sorrow to Kevin Blount's family. Please find solace that all of us share your grief and loss.

Thank you for your service. I takes a very special person to put their life on the line to be of service to their fellow man. My heart goes out to the families they have left behind and the friends they have served with. You are all TRUE Americans Heros.

Our thoughts and prayers to the families of these fine officers. Take comfort in knowing that they paid the ultimate sacrafice in doing what they loved most, serving others. I write this with tears in my eyes as I am watching the service for these two fallen officers. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the families and to the law enforcement community during this tragic time. Though I have never met the officers involved I am still saddened and touched by their loss. Living in the Sacramento for over 30 years and very close to the Antelope/North Highlands area for the last six of those years I have seen the SSD chopper fly almost daily from near by McClellan Park. I am sure that those two officers have flown over my home and other homes near me looking for people that fleeing from the law. When I think back now of the nights of hearing the chopper flying overhead with it's bright light seaching the streets. I can only think that in many cases it may very well have been one or both of those officers. It is strange to think that these mem are gone from the sky. I really enjoyed seeing them in action and knowing that they were there protecting my family as well as the people of Sacramento and the surrounding areas. I know that when I see the SSD chopper in the sky above my home the next time that my first thought will be of those two officers that gave their lives to protect the people of Sacramento and for that we will never forget. They will always be remembered.

I would to express my condolences to the families of the officers who lost their lives in the helicopter crash. I go into the jail with Correctional Ministries and see the sheriff officers all the time and they all do a good job in there, on the streets and in the air. My prayers are for the strength of the families in this time of deep sorrow. We are also praying for the officer in intensive care for a full recovery and for the strength and the encouragement of his family. We all must hold on to faith.

Angels appear on the edge of death because death is the threshold between time and eternity. Death is a room with a view beyond the veil.

Our hearts and prayers go out to each and every family member to the fallen deputies.

To Dep. Hendrickson our prayers of strenght and healing go to you and your family. We pray that all the prayers from everyone build strength around you to heal.

The Deputies of star 6 will be missed They lite up the sky for us on our night searches in sacramento.We will always remember them for that.God Bless Joe and Kevin.

I would like to send my deepest sympathy and prayers to the families of this tragedy. I grew up in a Law Enforcement family and know the dedication it takes to serve the community. God Bless!

Our thoughts and prayers are with the familys of the the passing deputys. We know they will be greatly missed, both by their loved ones and by the public they so gallantly served. God Bless all the men and women in law enforcement.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's office was instrumental in finding our daughters killer.

They were professional at all times and at one point a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle's description was seen parked under the Sunrise Blvd bridge over the American River. A Sheriff's helicopter responded within minutes of the sighting to assist in the investigation. It turned out not to be the suspects car but their efforts were and are appreciated.

I do not know who the pilots were that day but I thank them.

May these officers rest in peace and may their families know that we, the people of Sacramento, appreciate their efforts.

We here also feel this loss, just like the news says that this is a big family. I myself have felt this the first time my husband & I went for our first ride with the Blue Knights about 5-6 years ago, I didn't want to go because I didn't know anyone, my husband said to give it a chance because this is a big family and they will take us in. So I did and the people were just so wonderful. Now for the last 4 years my husband has been the President of that chapter of the Blue Knights Nv.II. Again I pray for the families and friends for healing of the hearts
