Sgt. Andrew D. White Hayward, California
On behalf of the East Bay Regional Park Police, please accept our sincere condolence regarding the tragic loss of Joe Kievernagel and Kevin Blount. Our thoughts are also with Eric Henrickson, as well as the involved families.

You often hear communal phrases such as "brotherhood and family" used to describe the common bond agencies feel with the loss of a co-worker. That sense of "brotherhood" is particularly strong in local specialty units, such as aviation. As a fellow aviation family member, we share your recent loss and struggle along with you. Please know that you are not alone and that your "aviation family" is there and willing to lessen your burden anyway we can.

With Our Deepest Regards,

-Andrew D. White

My heart goes out to the family and friends of those who have paid the ultimate price. No amount of tears can bring them back nor erase their memory from our hearts. They will always be circling above guiding your thoughts and actions as they continue their mission. I to have lost friends in similiar actions in Viet Nam and the loss never goes away. From my unit we send our prayers and heartfelt sympathy to the family.

In God and Dogs We Trust,

I wanted to pass on my thoughts and prayers for the officers whose lives were lost in the STAR flight accident this week. No matter what aspect of the job you are in, you are always vulnerable. I understand the connection between the K9 teams and their chopper crews and how it will affect both sections. There is no doubt they are still riding your shoulders on calls...albeit from a different viewpoint. Stay safe, and pass on our best wishes to the families.

Hi!!! I used to be a Reserve Deputy Sheriff at Sacramento County Sheriff's Dept. from 1979-1984. I think this is a great site and will enjoy coming into it and seeing what's happening. It's great. When I get back from Florida with my family, I plan on ordering a K9
T-Shirt. I used to have a Sacramento Sheriff's T-Shirt. Actually 2 of them and wore them out. So I'll catch you all later.

Say Yah to da U.P. Eh? Greetings from the wife of a Michigan State Police K9 Officer! You have a great site! My better half is on his third dog with the MSP. The first just had to be put down on Sunday. He was imported from Czechloslovakia (sp?) and a fantastic dog! The 2nd dog is living a great life of retirement with a radio tech. and the third dog is a psychotic working fool! Stay safe!

Four Paws Up !!! Beautiful site, beautiful dogs, and the handlers aren't bad either!!! Seriously this is one of the best looking/professional sites I've ever seen and definitely the best LE site I've ever seen!!! I like the pictures and information about each of the teams as well as the information about the different uses for the K9s. Whoever put this together did an awesome job. I also like the information about upcoming events as I've always wanted to see one of the competitions/demonstrations. Stay safe!!! :D

PS, looking forward to my t-shirt and mug for my desk at work, I'll let you know what I think when I receive them.

What a great website. Designed incredibly well, user friendly,a tribute to K-9s and their best friends. Are you marketing to youngsters? Maybe you could have like a "letter to Santa" but a letter to a featured K9 guestwriter (dog) that a child could write to and get a response? Or how about a guest column "written" by a K9 directed to kid and kid safety or even the care and feeding of dogs aimed at kids? Just an idea...keep up the great work all of you!
