Yolo Deputy Shot and Killed
The members of the Sacramento County Sheriff K9 Unit would like to extend their sincerest condolences to the family of Yolo County Deputy Sheriff Tony Diaz and to the men and women of the Yolo County Sheriff’s Department. Several members of the SSD K9 Unit, some on-duty, and many others who were called out traveled to Dunnigan to assist in the search for the suspect. The unfortunate thing is that we once again were searching for a person who killed a law enforcement officer. The response from law enforcement in this region was again impressive and that is the way it should be. There is a slight sense of relief knowing the suspect is in custody. God bless you Deputy Diaz and may you rest in peace. SSD K9
