K9 Officer Ian Carver Enters CrossFit Games 2008
K9 Deputy Ian Carver (K94) has entered the 2nd Annual CrossFit games to be held in Aromas, California July 5-6, 2008. To sum it up in a few words, CrossFit is no joke!
CrossFit is a unique strength and conditioning program that is used by many police academies, law enforcement officers, and special operations units. The workouts are published everday on their website and can be scaled down based on fitness level.
To enter these games though you have got to be not just in great shape but CrossFit shape and that takes commitment.
Take a look at the Crossfit Games website and the main Crossfit site to learn more. Good luck Ian!

"Thanks for the encouragement, friends! I did not know this article was here until I checked the site the other day and noticed it.
My fifteen minutes of fame is ticking, so if you get the chance you can visit www.crossfitgames.com and see how I stack up against some of the other competitors in the "Athletes" section of the blog site. I also wrote an article about the Games at www.ssdhealthandwellness.wordpress.com , so stop in and check it out.
I'll be flying the SSDK9 flag while there and I will keep you all posted on how the Games go for me. Take care!"
