On May 14, 2005, three Sacramento Sheriff’s canine teams competed at the 2005 Modesto Police Canine Competition.  This is also a Western States Police Canine Association sponsored event.

Deputy Anthony Jenkins and his partner Falco placed 2nd overall, 2nd in protection, 3rd in agility and 4th in obedience.

Deputy Mark Limbird and his partner Kaleo placed 6th place in the search phase.  There was only a four (4) point difference between 3rd and 6th place.

Deputy Steve LeCouve and his partner Dantes placed 5th in obedience.  Deputies LeCouve and Jenkins tied in the obedience phase, the tie breaker being the agility phase.
