- I was one of the Sacramento Sheriff K9 Units in the funeral procession today. I want to say thank you to all the members of the fire department who stood in the heat, hung flags, extended ladders, and parked trucks on every overpass along the funeral procession. I would also like to thank the firefighters who braved the heat paying tribute, standing at attention in front of their fire houses. The show of support was absolutely remarkable and will be forever etched in my memory.
