Officer Scott Worden
from Lansing Michigan
I am a Public Safety Officer for the Airport Authority in Lansing Michigan. I will be attending K9 school for my 2nd partner in August for explosives detection. I am really looking forward to this assignment, as it has been 8 years since my first go around ended in 1998 with my narcotics dectection Golden Retriever Lucy. I was Lucy's 2nd handler and she served faithfully for 8 years in total between 2 Departments. She gave her all and passed in May of 2000.
I am very excited about my new assignment and can't wait to get going. I have been surfing around looking for some nice K9 T-shirts. I am wondering if you have any SSDK9 shirts available in XXL? If so, what is the cost with shipping to 48911?
I tried emailing you, but it was returned, because the mailbox is full.
Thanks for any information,
Officer Scott Worden

We saw the article in the paper today about the attack on Kaleo. We share our lives with a brave, devoted, loving and goofy Belgian Terv. Kaleo's bravery and devotion to his fellow officers do not surprise us. Best wishes for a full recovery for this wonderful K9 officer from our Terv and his family.

I saw the article in today's Sac bee, about the suspect who hit your dog over the head with a shovel. He should be locked up and throw away the key! Anyone who would treat a dog that way would do the same to a human. That's just terrible, how could someone do such a thing? This is worse than animal cruelty. God bless you for the work you do, and for your faithful K-9's.

I fully support using any means necessary in getting the jump on those who need to be behind bars or executed. To fully exploit the senses that animals have is a huge step in the right direction to gain needed criteria to get proper search warrants, track those who run, or provide necessary attack/defend postures.
Keep up the good work!
Dennis

Wow, I keep seeing comments on the Pig Bowl. I miss those. When I lived in Sacramento I went to some and then I became a Reserve Deputy Sheriff and was able to work at two Pig Bowl Games. It was so much fun. I had such a great time and saw so many people that I knew. But it was great watching our guys play. It was alot of fun. I miss seeing the Pig Bowl Games. I miss being a Reserve in Sacramento and I miss my town of Sacramento. I now live in Oregon. To me its not home. Sacramento is!!!!!! Kathy Aquila-Willett

I have never met Jeff Mitchell but he sounded like a great man, husband, dad, and officer. I just want to give my sympathy to the family of his loss. I used to be a member of the Sacramento Sheriff's Dept as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff. I know that they are family and great officers and great people. Not knowing Jeff, I can tell by all the people that new him, that he was a great person. I'm really sorry for the loss. I no longer live in Sacramento but its the best community that I have ever lived and I miss it deeply.

From the moment of Jeff's tragic death, the Sheriff's Department has done all within it's power to support the family. I can see from the smiles in the photos that Crystal, Jake, and Mary Kay enjoyed the day with the K9 unit. Please accept my sincere appreciation for taking the time to spread some joy to my family. I think Jake will remember the visit for a long time. He truly believes his dad was a hero, and activities like this help to reinforce his beliefs and respect for Law Enforcement. Although Crystal will never again meet Jeff as he returns from shift, she knows that she can lean on the Department like an extended family. Thank you.

I grew up with Jeff Mitchell. ALthough I had not seen him since high school, I will always remember the sweet, smiling boy with the twinkly blue eyes. He was truly one of the good guys. The world has been diminished. The person who took his life should be nailed to the wall for this act of cowardice.
I will pray for Jeff and his family and forever treasure the memory of a childhood friend who never said an unkind word to anyone.

I have had the opportunity to hang out and ride along with some of the K9 officers and have become good friends with officer Amos and his family. I have seen the grief, excitement and the professionalism exhibited by these officers. Let us all not forget the sacrifices that these officers and their families endure knowing that they put themselves in harms way every day that they are on the job. Our prayers are with the family of Deputy Jeff Mitchell and all of the fallen officers of all agencies. Stay Safe!
