- As I stood in formation, anticipating the fly over... only one thought came to my mind, I can't wait for the day "STAR" flies again. No it won't be the same, but I know Kevin & Joe will be sitting on the wings watching over us as they did so many times.
Thank you to everyone that showed their support & added comfort to me, and all of my coworkers at Sacramento County Sheriff's Department, We are all grateful beyond words!!!!

- Watching them take off was amazing. There have only been a few moments in life, where the pride took over. These were one of those days. I don't think anyone will ever feel the same looking into the sky, but...I know I will feel pride.

- As I stood there, with all of the SSD Officers on the street as they did two missing men formations, you could not stop welling up in tears. These guys were our lifesavers, our heros and our eyes in the air. We will never forget them!

- The fly over was one of the most moving parts of the entire service. Such a vivid reminder of the sacrifice that was made by these incredible officers. Standing in formation, I don't think there was a single dry eye around me, as we remembered our fallen comrades. The world will certainly be a little different without Joe and Kevin. Eric, hurry back bro.
God bless
