K9 Eko was born on August 23rd, 2007 in the Czech Republic. He was paired with Deputy Anthony Jenkins in January of 2009.

 

K9 Eko and Deputy Jenkins served as a patrol canine team for the Scramento County Sheriff's Office until 2016 when K9 Eko retired. 

​

K9 Eko spent his retirement at home with Deputy Jenkins and his family where he was spoiled with love. K9 Eko was unexpected diagnosed with stage four lymphoma and later passed away on January 24th, 2020 surrounded by his family.
