K9 Nikk

K9 Nikk joined the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office Canine Detail in December of 2011.
In 2012, K9 Nikk was paired with Deputy Ramie Folena. The canine team was assigned to the Central Patrol Division where they served the residents of Sacramento County. During his service, K9 Nikk was responsible for several felony arrest and participated in several community demonstrations.
On the morning of March 19th, 2018, Deputy Folena noticed K9 Nikk was lethargic and rushed him to the VCA Animal Hospital where veterinarians determined he had likely suffered a stroke. While receiving medical treatment, K9 Nikk became unresponsive and was later pronounced deceased,
